Does anybody use these as travel bags for the players? We are need of bags and I remember using these when I was in jr. high. They seem cheap and we are located near a military base so there are several surplus stores.

done it, liked them, just make sure your shoulder pads can get in, if your near a base they may sell surplus at a auction on base, i have found surplus stores around here not that cheap, but i am not close to a base anymore

we have used them until this year when the youth league bought us new bags. Got them at the nearest surplus store.

Even better, try to find the parachute bags. The ones they stuff the chutes in after a jump to carry them off of the drop zone. Easier access with all the room need for shoulder pads/ helmet.

Just make sure they wash them. The canvas will absorb all of the bacteria and smells that are on the equipment.

We bought the parachute bags for our travel bags. It worked great! About $15 per bag.

Never used these for Football, but used these for baseball equipment.
