My father was the head coach at Lansdale Catholic for 44 years. Entering my parents house is like entering a not very well kept museum. After raising 9 children my parents are looking to downsize. Does anyone have any experience or insight into what to do with all of the memorabilia?

How about asking if there is anything the school might want. Does the school have a trophy case or hall of fame?

Every time I got fired from a coaching job, I donated all my team clothing to the local Salvation Army. So, if you ever see a big homeless dude rockin' some sweet Graphic Edge mid-2000s-style XXXL sideline gear, you know where he got it...

Financial gain is always of interest if your school/program is struggling for funds.
1. Sell raffle tickets at home games for specific gear 2. If you have a fundraiser of any sorts enter it 3. If you have contact with former alumni, contact and see if any are interested 4. Do you have a football specific area in school or stadium that it can be used for display 5. Have a garage sale at the school and donate money to a local charity

You may also want to check with local restaurants, maybe some other businesses too. I know some will display jerseys.

We also have a lot of silent auctions as fundraisers in our area for locals with cancer/medical issues. Items like yours are sometimes a treasure to others, and for a good cause.

If he kept in contact with any of his former players contact them and see if they would want any of it maybe.

The head football coach at the High School I played at was also the faculty representative for the FCA. Long story short they sold his FCA Bible for what I feel like was $1500 or so. You never know what would could be a great silent auction piece..
