Even if it's a team you saw in the playoffs?

I have been part of one program where the HC actually brought in players to watch the film of the last game on the next day. Whats weird is it was always a playoff loss, and he would critique and coach players about the film (always hard to watch with seniors who were done now).
Not saying it was bad, just kind of weird.

I usually watch it in a week..luckily, our last game is into the playoffs so I want to see what a good team did to us

I've never watched our last game completely. Maybe a few highlights or notable plays, but that's it.
I don't feel like there is much that can be learned from be rewatching it.

I always watch the last game that same night. I'm always curious to see what worked or what didn't work. Some games are hard to watch but I've watched everyone.

I chart our tackles after every game. So I watch it that night.

I get around to it but I'm in no rush. There are more important things to do at that point to wrap up the year.

I typically watch it within a week or two. This past year many of our seniors gave such a lackluster effort I couldn't watch it, I knew it would make me pissed and I don't want to remember them that way because they're otherwise spectacular kids.
Our JV team won the league championship the last game of the year so I had all the kids to my house watch it, I fed them and we whooped it up.

Every year I tell myself I'm not going to bother watching it, but like clockwork the next day I'm watching it.

I watch it sometime the next week. We do a game to game stats breakdown for offense, defense, and special teams. At the end of the year we compile the stats for an end of year report. I like to get it done ASAP.

I always do, if nothing else to chart the plays so I can include them in our off-season breakdown.

I still watch it. But usually a little later. Like this year I did it on monday instead of saturday morning. But theres still work to be done. Stats are put in. But most importantly for self scouting. I do a lot in the offseason and go back and analyze all formation & plays we run and the success and whatnot of each. So its important for that too.

I have to get to it now fairly quickly because I do our ST team stats and we are mandated to report stats in our state. However, back before I had that responsibility, the last game of the 2014 season was so dreadful I haven't watched it to this day and I can't imagine a set of circumstances that will ever require me to!!

Dreadful season with a cr@ppy finish= moving on, will watch when I get around to it
Finish the cr@ppy season strong like this season while upsetting a team we had no business beating= Inviting staff/friends over for beers and BBQ to watch the film with me!
Get past the rough times and celebrate every small victory, it's what keeps us sane.

At my last stop they'd won a national championship shortly prior to my arrival. It was, sadly, not filmed. They had the TV copy but because it was a neutral site game nobody had thought to bring game filmers and whatnot.

I have to say that I'm a little surprised by the results so far. For one, the number of guys who watch immediately took me by surprise. I get that some of us have to get stats and knew that some guys would be obsessive enough to watch ASAP but the number kind of shocked me. Because I don't watch the tape, I was even more surprised that so few of us don't watch it at all. Unless you're playing them again I don't see what's to be gained. I haven't checked yet but I'll bet that the guys who voted, "Never", are veteran coaches.

Oh no, very very different place. The Zoo was special. The whole league had hudl but you'd only get film of home games because nobody would give you film of your own road games.

No, because they knew everyone would be able to trade film, they just knew it could be traded. And then they never bothered to learn how.

I have watched our last game a dozen times or more this year. First time I have ever done that. Actually started something new this year, that I think I will continue to do in the future. Before the season started I had to very green coaches, we took a day and met at a burger restaurant, food, free refills, and free wifi. We sat down and broke down the last game from the previous season, we all brought our laptops and made sure we were all on the same page on how to label items.
