Looking for off-season drills/activities to get players more aggressive. Took over struggling program and kids need to be more aggressive. Help!

Go ATG and kids will be punching babies ...or at least forearming 9s and 10s walking down the halls if they get too close.

players won't quit in the game during the season if they have an investment in the program/their teammates. That happens in the off-season. You fight each series for the respect of the guy next to you.
you'll never make good decisions if there never is a consequence. you'll never fight for something if there isn't a reward.
The weight room will teach you the INTENSITY needed to train and build. Going back every day will develop the 'toughness' to persevere. Compete at least every week. Jump rope, 4 corner, tiddly winks...doesn't matter. Celebrate winners. Its why we all do this
Don't b!tch about the kids that aren't in the weight room. Rally around and love on the kids that ARE part of the (off-season) program. Make the kids that attend accountable for bringing the other players in. Create off-season teams of sr,jr,sop,fr so it fosters leaders to step up regardless of class. Highest attending team wins t-shirts.
Work the Inspiration and Motivation behind it all. These two are completely different factors. Inspiration is what gets you out of bed in the morning to experience the life you want (i.e. dream) Motivation is the (temporary) charge you have to compel you to do something. Motivation can be avoiding a negative or chasing a positive

Play other sports. There is only one way to practice competing and that is to compete. I don’t know if I would agree with that given our parameters of junior high and high school football. Being extremely competitive does not necessarily equal being able to violently attack someone in a physical manner.

I'm old. The thing that helped me to get meaner was wrestling. Heck, as kids we would just wrestle in the yards. Sometimes it turned into fights which was even better.
