Good Afternoon, Wanted to see what you guys use for your scouting reports. The format I have used in the past is to have a team meeting were we go over the base formations and top 3 runs and top 3 passes. Then we move out to the field and go through theses plays with the first team defense. I use Hudl to create a scouting report for the players to look at. The problem is that at the end of the year I end up having like 300+ plays in my defensive playbook from all the formations, runs, passes, and trick plays each team does over the season. Maybe there is a better way to do this.
Mind you, the school at I'm at has a VERY low football IQ. So I've been treating these meeting like a football class. On the whiteboard and showing clips. The only thing I haven't done is administer a test.
Looking forward to what you guys do. Thank you in advance.

I don’t use the playbook feature but I do everything through practice scripts. On there if you put a formation or play in it that becomes the template for that play so when you see that formation or play again if you type that and it auto populates and you change it then it changes for good or until you adjust it. So for me I will put Westside Trips Westside Inside Zone so that when it generates the play it’s the exact play I want. I don’t know if this makes sense or if it helps with your issues but it’s saved me a lot of time with practice script feature screwing up what I wanted generated.

So much faster then drawing plays in Playbook and relatively easy to copy formations/plays. Also against certain teams it's nice to flip it verticaly and draw run/pass fits vs top plays

We've always used Slides to put together a presentation. But the HUDL tools seem way more intuitive. My favorite thing last year was when I would use Slides for the presentation, save it as a PDF, and then import the PDF into the playlist I had of cutups. Worked well, I thought.
