Does anyone have issues getting kids out for 2 a days? We're not doing 2 a days, but we started out on a strange schedule this year where we'd practice evenings (6-9) on certain days and mornings (9-12) on others. When we have our morning practices, 1/3 of our players no show. Some miss because they have summer jobs and have talked it over with us, but a lot of them are just MIA. I had a total of 8 offensive linemen at our last morning practice.

We don't have any problem because our schedule is standard - 9-11 am and 1-3 pm each day.
And our kids know if they have unexcused absences, there are consequences including "Three strikes and You're Out!"
Sounds like the "inconsistent" nature of your routine may contribute.
If you know kids are going to miss because of work (which is unexcused for us), why do you change the times? And some of the MIAs may be so because you're excusing the kids with jobs.
