I think that since it sounds as though everyone knows everyone I would tend to just leave it alone. It sounds as though the principal knows the 3 of you well enough to form his own opinion, and I wouldn't want to come out of an interview looking like I was taking cheap shots at people. That being said, if you know a couple of the candidates have weaknesses you may want to emphasize your abilities in those area without mentioning them . . . something along the lines of "One thing that may make me valuable to the program is that since I don't coach another sport I can be completely dedicated to football year round." Just my thoughts.
