Is there a reason for not having an overtime?
Is there a push to change it, or is everyone content with no clear champions?

half and half on the push 2 keep it or change it. today more people want it changed., the GHSA Director said that the schools didn't want it changed years ago and we haven't had co-state champions since 1999.

What are some of the "fair" options for an overtime? You know, like if a less powerful team just coached and played their @$$es off for 4 qtrs. Another full 12 minutes? Sudden death ot?

We have OT you get 1st and goal at the 10. Each team gets the ball if its still tied you do it again till someone wins.

Ours is set up just college. This year the big school championship game (Division 1 in Ohio) went into 2 OT's and ended when one team decided to go for two for the title and made it. One of the most exciting HS games I have ever seen.

That is our regular season and playoff OT rules.

The weird thing about overtime in Ga. is that there is an overtime for all games except for the Championship game. I really don't understand why but that is the way it is setup for now.
