We cap at 40 kids (uniforms, equipment) but haven't had to technically cut anyone. The cancers get the message and rarely even come out. Most cancers don't have a 2.25 anyway.

We haven't but we put it in our rules for this year that we may cut at our discretion. Last year we had a couple of problem children that just showed up for equipment and participated in absolutely nothing. WE had to have an out in this day and age of parental crap. NOW if we have kids that just cant cut it but show up to everything then you can find a home for them.

We will never cut a kid, unless he is a cancer to the team or always in trouble. Every kid needs the opportunity to have more than 1 chance. Some of the kids we have, if it wasn't for football, they wouldn't be at school. Cant cut a kid for numbers in football, cant do it. As for an injured kid....what if that was your stud soph RB that got hurt before the season? Would you want to keep him around the program or would you cut him and "hope" he comes back next season? It has to be the same scenario for every kid in the program no matter what is role is. IMO
