I do not know of any HS in our state that has their own.
Massillon OH-Washington HS (where dcohio coaches) has one.

No, but there are 4 within 25 miles of us...
I just figured since there is suppose to be coaches from all over the U.S. On this board that there might be some, and then I was going to ask Cost Size How was it funded Etc etc

Not to brag, but when you live/coach on the coast in San Diego county, you dont need an indoor practice facility. Just saying.

Not on a lot of your guys level and wasn't our own ( it's hired ) but during the winter months at my former team we practiced indoors in a soccer dome Kept us out of the elements of cold British winters,
Helped in many ways but mainly
Maximised reps ( no wind rain or snow, to effect throwing catching route running )
As an offensive coach I loved it and they still use it now... Def a great thing to have at your disposal

We're not a big time program. We have one. It's a 60 yd field. I couldn't tell you the cost as it was built before we got here. It was funded by a bond. It doesn't hurt to have a ton of oil and natural gas sitting underneath you.

We finally got turf this year, that itself has help so much when it comes to rain Just being able to go full speed, and as long as it's not a monsoon it is pretty much dry within an hour of raining and lockeroom isn't near as dirty, and we actually have less aches and pains. Our old practice field was rock hard. I know myself and the other coaches backs and hips don't hurt as much from coaching and we have asked the players and they all say the same thing not near as many aches in the ankles or knees

We can use the gym, but only if the dance team, volleyball team, and middle school club basketball teams aren't already in there... And I'm not joking

We have a turfed field inside our weight room. We use it for running and some basic walk through stuff and maybe some line and lb indy stuff. It's nice when it's raining to get some work in instead of trying to be tough beating the elements. Most the time the rain stops so we can get work outside too so we are only inside for a little bit.
I think Mason High School in SW Ohio has an indoor facility too. The Bengals have traveled up there to practice before if I'm not mistaken...no joke.

We have the gym. We played in the state championship last week. Was pouring down rain on Tuesday...the cheerleading coach offered to "share" it with us if we needed to go inside.

How big is that turf area in your weight room? And how big is your weight room?

Aren't you guys concerned with not being able to handle the conditions if you have to play a game outdoors?

I know around here A couple years ago it was a foot of snow, and our state is equipped to handle things like that road wise cause it is a very rare once every 7-9 years type thing So because of that and all the ice Mainly ice playoffs postpone a week We practiced in he snow thanksgiving Then Friday just watched film and the next week drove to an indoor 28 miles a way for 2 practices and the 3rs day practiced outside on their turf cause the championship was gonna be on turf and at the time we didn't have it.
Lightening is another reason, we had a peach is this year that we did t even get to start till 5:00 o'clock k because of he lightening and all the gyms were already in use. And it allows u to train in the winter speed wise easier and not miss and spring practices or summer 7 on 7 cause of the weather if u host

We have one, but the problem with it and a lot of schools around here that have one is that usually they aren't enough room to actually practice. Im in the dfw in texas and I can't think of any full 110 yard indoors. Usually it is a worst case scenario back up that you can still get work in if there is lightning. We use it a ton for off season and summer workouts. This year we didn't have a single day during the season where we were forced indoors.

It's called a myth for me...unless I somehow pulls off the biggest & luckiest miracle and some college coach is gullible enough to hire me as a college assistant, there's never going to be an actual indoor facility where I'm at. Only the select few HS in the whole country has those.

Here in Oklahoma , I think there is 11 total, and only one broken arrow is a full field, and supposedly they are going to add a suspended 5-6 lane track attached to the second floor in it as well for track practice and I guess to host winter indoor meets too.
Most I have seen are 50-40, if some one is lucky it will be the full width.

Homewood Flossmoor has a half field here in Illinois. There are a lot schools with field houses that are fairly large and make it easy to get whatever work in you need. We are one of the few in our league that doesn't have "large" spaces. It's extremely difficult in the winter find time with bball, cheerleading, and yes, NJROTC.

There are several in Arkansas. Never been at a school with one but most are at the 2 highest classifications with a few below those. The school I'm at now is talking about building one. We will see how that goes.

Yes We are within a 25 miles area of 4 in Arkansas. And 3 of the schools have been kind enough to let us use theirs during bad weather during playoff time. We had one day of team camp at one 2 years ago when a turd floater lightening storm came. It was nice not to have the day wasted.

Fort smith north to the state line is the place to, especially along the 540 i49 corridor . Lots of good football, tons of growth, and big salaries , Myself, if got a hs staff teaching coaching just 20 miles east , one sport, you are talking 8-15 grand raise! Compared to my state.
