3 days a week 35 minutes lifting for skill while line does Indy. Then we switch. After we put on shells and practice for 1.5 hours.
We are HUNH and don't do a drop of conditioning and we run other teams into the ground. We get all we need by having up tempo efficient practices. Why run 40s when we can practice our vertical game with our split ends and practice our horizontal game with our slots. They run their tails off all ready and do it gladly with balls in their hands.
There are teams in our conference who would kill us in bleacher races but can't keep up in football.
We go to about 5 7 on 7 s.

4 days a week Half lift half do the speed program then flip
Kids can go do drills outside on own if not coaching lead
Junior hi group 15 min after varsity, pretty much same Thing
Twice a week an elementary group, lots of body wt and speed ladder stuff
We do about 3-5 , 7-7 days, where we get to go against 2 or 3 each night
Going to host our own tourney this summer and go to a tourney
Host our own indo camp where we can do football drills and things And then we will go to a team camp somewhere , probably within a week of spring ball being finished which is June 1st.

We split our time 50/50.
Practice firsr, and then lift second. Since we have no lights at the practice field.

Are all of the coaches at both sessions? Yes. So...your kids are at school till around 9pm on Tuesday nights in June and July?? Sidenote--what about the kids who worked out at the AM session on Tuesdays?

jg78 I was a grinder, having coached college ball before coaching HS ball, but I would have been pretty miserable with that particular set up as a coach. Mornings taken, evenings taken 3 days a week, and nights once a week. Were the Coaches getting extra summer pay for this? THAT would change the complexion in my opinion. But if that was just a regular expectation included in the $2,000-$4000 coaching stipend I would not be very happy.

At my old job (when I was HC) I had a 5:00 AM session, an 8:00 AM session, and a 5:00 PM session five days a week. There were absolutely zero excuses for not making workouts. I also was HC, OC, DC and ST coach. This job is a breeze.
