And not a single person has heard a word about it. He doesn't have commercials every 30 seconds, he doesn't have some {censored} sitcom, he doesn't have ESPN fellating him every second and he doesn't have people on here telling us he's changed college football. He's quietly went about his work and that's why I like me some Eddie George. Fair enough regarding your personal feelings. But with respect to success, and playing "the game" in the 2024 college football landscape, is that what is best? Who knows. I don't disagree with your other thoughts. Just like you are, I am sick of seeing Saban every 3 minutes selling insurance, he and "Miss Terry" being America's new power couple, his sitcom of show that used to be College football Gameday, and everyone here telling us how he has changed college football from a defensive perspective such that people use terms he is credited for as if they were the standardized official language of football. That's who you were referring to right? I don't like Saban either, but I respect him. I don't respect a single thing about "Coach" Prime. The man couldn't "coach" his way out of a wet paper bag.

I literally watched 1 play of the Colorado/OSU game. "Prime" is pontificating about how he wants players who "love the game. Not the attention, love the game". He then had a player have a pick 6 and fake urinate on the ball like a dog and "Prime" hugged him as he came off the field.
Want to know why I hate the guy? Well, there you go. He's completely full of {censored}.

Yes it absolutely is “really” different. Never before in college football have you seen the starting quarterback of a 3-0 team say “you know what, I didn’t get what we agreed to. I’m out”. Never before have you had a club go from Having a legitimate argument to be in the college football playoff- to having a one win season. There has never been an environment where on the eve of an important game, a player can tell the HC “hey, I need another $150,000 or I can’t play this week”. There have been some changes but really, in the big picture, has anything really changed other than the media coverage? Who would have cared or noticed that UNLV's QB quit? 3-0? A lot of teams were 3-0. With regards to your “has anything really changed?” question- Andrew Luck will be returning to Stanford as thr GENERAL MANAGER. College football programs now have a general manager…

It certainly isn't because they need someone to manage that juggernaut program they have.

This is what Stanford football is and always has been.

This is what Stanford football is and always has been. Willingham tookthem to 4 bowl games in 7 years at the turn of the century as well. I don't think Luck needs "hooking up". Pretty sure he is just fine on a personal level. However, it is an indicator that as has been mentioned many times, college football is DIFFERENT. I don't believe the "first" college GM, depending on the definition and roles. I know that an ESPN basketball analyst left his role with ESPN to be the St. Bonnaventure "GM" Alabama has a GM, LSU named a GM (Austin Thomas) in 2021.
